General Adult Psychiatry — Community Specialist Doctor
Job summary
A leading mental health trust in Birmingham is seeking a full-time Specialty Doctor in General Adult Psychiatry to work within a community mental health team. This role requires full GMC registration and significant experience in psychiatry, with a focus on assessments and management plans. The successful candidate will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and receive extensive support for training and development. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in mental health care.

- Recognised medical degree required.
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice is necessary.
- At least two years’ experience in psychiatry is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assess new referrals from GPs and make appropriate diagnoses.
- Work with a multidisciplinary team to manage patient care.
- Ensure at least 50% of time is spent in face-to-face patient contact.
