As an EC&I Engineer, you’ll support the design, development, and delivery of Electrical, Control & Instrumentation systems for complex engineering projects. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll help ensure systems are safe, reliable, and meet customer and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in designing EC&I systems from concept to commissioning
- Produce and review technical documentation
- Control philosophies and functional design specs
- Collaborate with mechanical and safety teams for integrated designs
- Support installation, testing, and commissioning activities
- Liaise with suppliers and contribute to design reviews
- Provide input to project planning and proposals
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control & Instrumentation, or similar
- Experience with PLC/HMI systems and CAD tools (e.g. AutoCAD Electrical)
- Understanding of control systems, instrumentation, and motor control
- Familiarity with relevant standards (e.g. BS EN 60204, BS 7671)
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Full UK driving licence (travel may be required)
- Experience in regulated sectors (e.g. Nuclear, Defence)
- Knowledge of functional safety standards and tools (e.g. SISTEMA)
- Hands‑on experience with electrical panels and PLC programming
