We are looking for a Yard Sales Assistant, to join our busy team in our yard in Avonmouth Docks. This role is ideal for an individual who is looking to develop their current skills and build a career in a Sales environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Liaise with transport regarding machines in and out, fill in paperwork, CMR’s etc.
• Pull machines out ready for lorries to ensure a fast turnaround
• Organise the yard to ensure the optimum amount of space is available, while maintaining ease of access and keeping things tidy. We currently have over 200 machines in the yard.
• Catalogue and keep track of all the used buckets, inc. use of telehandler.
• Heavy lifting with excavator e.g., SK850 booms and counterweights.
• Health and safety inspections for the yard, inc. inspection, repair, and ordering of lifting equipment.
• Yard stock take
• Taking insurance checker’s round
• Showing customers round when no salesmen are available
• Reporting and organising work needed on faulty machines.

Additional Responsibilities

• Photographing and visual inspection of all used equipment arriving in for part exchange. This involves operating everything from mini diggers to crushers.
• Editing (photoshop) and arranging photos to be uploaded to the cloud and then uploading to the website.
• Managing the used section of the website; uploading and removing machines adverts and keeping the related machines section updated.
• Regular Facebook and LinkedIn posts
• Weekly Machinery trader advert which goes to print, along with a few extra adverts as and when.
• Answer salesman queries on machines, prepare machines for customer inspections.

Work Experience Requirements

• Must have a good general level of Education including English, Maths, and IT
• Confident using social media
• Must hold a current driving licence
