Job Introduction

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Controller to join our Toyota Dealership in Boston. Hours of work are 8am to 5:30pm, Monday to Fridays and Saturdays on a rota basis.

Excellent Basic Salary with OTE of up to £45,000 plus benefits.

The Workshop Controller is responsible for ensuring maximum productivity in the workshop, liaising between Service Advisor’s and Technicians, ensuring that all required work is actioned effectively and efficiently.

  • Managing the workflow of all jobs to brand standard.
  • Manage a team of Technicians ensuring workflow through the workshop is done in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Provide focused management to the service department team, to ensure an excellent customer experience.
  • Ensure processes are always adhered to.
  • Conduct regular process reviews with your Aftersales Manager to identify operational issues / discrepancies and ensure appropriate follow up actions are taken to rectify.
  • Manage the performance of the workshop to ensure that KPI targets are achieved.
  • Manage and plan workshop / support resources to ensure that work requirements are fulfilled.
  • Support the department team as required and ensure that all work is completed on time.
  • Support the service department with pricing additional work and maximising upsell opportunities, ensuring all such work is approved with customers prior to being carried out.
  • Manage the handover of complex or potentially contentious jobs (invoices, claims) to ensure full buy-in and agreement from the customer (Retail or Internal.)
What we're looking for:
  • This role would ideally suit someone who has previously worked within a dealership as either a Trainee Workshop Controller, Experienced Workshop Foreman or Experienced Workshop Controller and are looking to Listers for more opportunities to progress.
