A leading renewable energy provider in the UK is offering a 3-year apprenticeship for a Wind Turbine Technician. This full-time program includes two years of classroom learning and one year of practical training at an offshore wind farm. Applicants must have 5 GCSEs including Science, Maths, and English, be willing to work shifts, and live within an hour of the site. The position offers competitive salary starting at £17,510, accommodation, and travel reimbursements.
Wind Turbine Technician Apprenticeship – Fixed term, full time, starting as soon as possible, at Mostyn, Flintshire, GB, CH8 9HE. Salary: £17,510 in the first year, increasing annually in line with internal pay scales and the national minimum wage. Benefits include pension and private single medical cover.
RWE Renewables offers a 3‑year apprenticeship to develop into a wind turbine technician. The first two years are classroom based at the bespoke wind turbine training facility at Coleg Llandrillo, Rhyl in North Wales. The third year is on‑site training at the Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm in Mostyn.
Enthusiastic and ready to undertake a practical, high‑complexity role. Standby or on‑call attendance may be required.
Term‑time accommodation is provided with rent and utilities paid by RWE. Daily commute costs to college are paid unless RWE provides group travel.
All reasonable travel costs to the assessment centre are paid by RWE.
25 days (outside of term time) plus public holidays.
