A leading construction materials manufacturer in Sittingbourne is seeking a Warehouse Operator to join their team. The role involves operating forklifts, adhering to safety procedures, and ensuring quality in the loading and dispatch of goods. Ideal candidates will have a forklift license and experience in fast-paced environments. As a Warehouse Plant Operator, you will work efficiently and accurately within the warehouse, performing continuous quality checks and monitoring operations. You will ensure the forklift truck is well-maintained and contribute to high customer satisfaction by verifying that the correct goods are loaded onto vehicles and dispatched on time.
Duties include:
Adhere to company Health and Safety procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
Accurately pick orders and efficiently load trucks.
Promptly communicate any issues to the appropriate personnel for swift resolution and ensure smooth shift handovers to maintain seamless loading operations.
Ensure high-quality products are delivered to customers.
Maintain accurate stock records.
Comply with all quality systems to guarantee product standards.
Follow established operating procedures.
Keep detailed records and report issues clearly and accurately.
Identify and segregate defective products, ensuring damaged items are replaced with new pallets.
Actively contribute to the improvement of site systems and adhere to all safety protocols.
Perform any other tasks required to fulfill your role effectively.
The ability to read and interpret dispatch notes accurately.
Experience working within quality systems.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.
Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck license
Flexibility to work shifts, including; days, nights and weekends.
A competitive salary up to £34,500 + bonus.
