Overview

Warehouse Operative

We are looking to recruit warehouse operatives who will be responsible for picking orders for our shops at our distribution centre in Appleton, Warrington. We offer a permanent full-time position with a variety of shift patterns available 5 days from 7 each week, including at least one weekend day. There may also be some part-time work available.

Hours, pay and benefits:

• Hours: 37.5 hours across 5 days per week
• Pay: £13.17 - £14.28 per hour (£14.28 for afternoon, late and night shifts; £11.88 if you are under 21)
• Benefits: 6 weeks holiday, 15% staff discount, staff benefits package, and more

Shift patterns include:

• Afternoon shift – 12:00 to 20:00
• Night shift – 20:00 to 04:00

Additional details:

• You will be guaranteed a minimum of 37.5 hours per week for full-time positions and overtime is regularly available

Responsibilities

• Accurately and quickly pick stock onto pallets ready for delivery to shops
• Keep accurate records
• Carry out general maintenance and cleaning of the warehouse
• Work within the health and safety requirements of the site
• There may be opportunities to work in goods in and loading operations in addition to picking

Requirements

• To be aged 18 or over to be eligible for this role (due to Health and Safety reasons)
• To be physically fit as this is a demanding role and you will be expected to achieve productivity targets
• A friendly, positive, hard-working approach to work
• Experience in a warehouse environment or with manual handling equipment is helpful but not essential
