We are a not-for-profit organisation specialising in care homes for the elderly and currently have over 110 care homes across England and Scotland.
If you would like to help our care homes through volunteering, opportunities are available for weekdays or weekends, daytime or early evening.
We are currently looking to recruit volunteer entertainers. Do you enjoy entertaining? Do you have a talent you could share with our residents to entertain them? Are you a singer, musician, comedian, dancer, magician? If you could spare some time to come in and entertain our residents we would love to hear from you!
It may be necessary for a volunteer to travel to a location other than their normal place of volunteering, they will be reimbursed travel expenses in line with the Travel and Subsistence Group Procedure. It is at the discretion of each home to cover the travel expenses from the volunteers' home to the care home as a good will gesture. We are mindful of individual financial situations, and we do not want to put up barriers to volunteering, so please feel free to have a chat with your supervisor.
Online course which includes safeguarding, dementia friends, GDPR, life in a care home etc. A meet and greet and a show round will be arranged. Finally, you would need to complete an online course which takes approx. an hour to complete. The whole process could take 3 - 4 weeks to complete.

PVG and references are required for some roles.
