A leading digital experience firm based in the City of London is seeking an experienced Experience Design Director. This role involves solving complex challenges, leading teams, and creating products that enhance user experience. You will guide projects, engage with senior stakeholders, and ensure exceptional quality in digital design. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of experience in digital transformation and strong leadership abilities, particularly in a fast-paced environment.
We’re the team behind your favourite digital products, and the platforms that power them. We make every moment magical, everywhere. Our team is made up of self‑motivated, big thinkers who have a knack for solving problems and find new ways to captivate millions of customers by putting them at the heart of everything we do. Our design focus ranges from websites and mobile apps to entertainment platforms and connectivity devices. We put the user of tomorrow at the centre of everything we do, and we can’t wait to get started on what’s next.
We are looking for an experienced Experience Design Director who thrives on solving complex challenges and is energised by creating products and services that make life simply better. The responsibilities of this role are a mix of team leadership, hands‑on UX design work and consultancy, and the successful candidate must be able to balance all three aspects as part of their day‑to‑day.
You will be responsible for delivering best‑in‑class experiences as part of a complex, scaled, business‑critical programme for one of our key strategic accounts. You’ll be a key point of contact between the clients, our design team and our development team, and you will support the team to navigate the complexities of digital transformation at scale.
You’ll be part of a cross‑functional team, leading workshops or interviews with senior stakeholders within a complex client landscape to help them understand their businesses and customers more deeply and to drive innovation. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong experience in delivering complex projects that cover both technical and business go‑live.
At WongDoody, our approach to Experience Design is lean and user‑centred. We workshop ideas and solutions with clients and internal teams and sketch out ideas. We have a fast‑paced, prototype‑driven workshop approach called ‘Conversation to Creation’ (C2C) in which you’d play a key role. We run these workshops with startup founders and clients to kick‑off new, transformational products and distil in weeks what others would take months for.
We embrace change and exploration; everyone at WongDoody is committed to creating the best possible product or service.
We’ll pay you to come work here, because we’re generous like that. On top of your salary, you’ll receive a whole lot of benefits to help keep you healthy, secure, and balanced. You’ll get great medical and dental insurance, a competitive pension package, travel insurance, and flexible summer hours to name a few.
