Job summary

A growing accounting practice in Manchester is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage a portfolio of UK clients and ensure compliance with HMRC and Companies House. The responsibilities include preparation of management accounts, VAT returns, bookkeeping reviews, and communication with clients. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, along with AAT / ACCA / ACA qualifications. Experience working with SMEs is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• AAT / ACCA / ACA part-qualified or qualified is essential.
• Experience with SMEs and owner-managed businesses is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of management accounts and year-end statutory accounts.
• Submit VAT returns for various types.
• Perform bookkeeping reviews and corrections using accounting software.
• Preparation and submission of corporation tax returns.
• Assist with self-assessment returns for directors and sole traders.
