Bloomberg Television is seeking an ambitious interviews producer to join The Opening Trade in London - a flagship, live markets program that sets the agenda for the global trading day. In this role, you will book newsmakers and top guests on market-moving stories, respond quickly to breaking news, and support the show’s senior producer and anchors.

We are looking for a sharp, curious news junkie with a genuine interest in markets and business. You may come from a television news, journalism, financial communications or PR background, but you share a drive to understand how news moves markets and the ambition to deepen that expertise at Bloomberg.

We’ll trust you to:

• Secure high-calibre guests on market-moving stories for a daily live program
• React quickly to breaking news, identifying and booking the most relevant voices
• Own guest segments end-to-end, including production logistics and research briefs
• Be proactive - pitch ideas, be creative, bring your expertise to the table and elevate our content
• Build and maintain strong relationships across business, finance, and policy making communities
• Work closely with producers, anchors, and the wider global newsroom in a fast-paced environment

You’ll need to have:

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• At least 3 years’ experience in television production, journalism, financial communications, or a related field
• A strong interest in business and financial news, and the ability to learn markets quickly
• Problem solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across a global newsroom
• Flexibility to work early mornings and adapt to the demands of live news
