Safeguard the Future: Become Treasurer & Trustee at SUNSHINE

Location: London (Hybrid attendance for Board Meetings)

Commitment: Approx. 5 hours per month

Role type: Voluntary, unremunerated

Our Mission

SUNSHINE is a brand-new start-up charity dedicated to tackling loneliness and social isolation across London. In 2026, we will launch our first programmes:

• Monthly Coffee Mornings
• DigitalInclusion & Skills (6 weeks)
• Wellbeing Wednesdays (12 weeks)
• Fitness & Exercise (6–12 weeks)

We are creating safe, welcoming spaces where Londoners can connect, grow, and thrive.

To make this vision sustainable, we need strong financial leadership. That’s where our Treasurer comes in.

What Will You Be Doing?

As Treasurer and Trustee, you will:

• Set up financial systems, processes, policies, and procedures to ensure SUNSHINE runs smoothly and responsibly.
• Oversee financial management and controls, safeguarding the charity’s resources.
• Lead on financial reporting to the Charity Commission and HMRC, ensuring compliance and transparency.
• Support fellow Trustees in understanding their financial roles and responsibilities.
• Act as a key bank signatory, working alongside the Chair and one other Board member to manage banking.
• Provide strategic financial guidance, helping SUNSHINE grow sustainably and expand its impact.
