Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily transport operations to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Liaise with site drivers and teams to maintain smooth communication.
  • Coordinate and oversee third-party transport work.
  • Maintain and update all transport-related paperwork accurately.
  • Plan and update delivery schedules.
  • Arrange the collection of consumables as required.
  • Communicate with dispatch to organise collections and deliveries.
  • Ensure drivers receive the correct paperwork and allocated vehicle.
  • Keep driver boxes updated with necessary information.
  • Liaise with vehicle technicians regarding maintenance and readiness.
  • Work with agencies to confirm driver hours and verify timesheets.
  • Attend departmental meetings when required.
  • Complete daily KPI sheet accurately and on time.

Position Overview

The Transport Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our Transport department. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely movement of freight throughout the supply chain. Working on the night shift, the Transport Coordinator will manage multiple priorities, requiring strong organisational skills and effective planning abilities to help maintain smooth transport operations.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily transport operations to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Liaise with Branston site drivers and teams to maintain smooth communication.
  • Coordinate and oversee third‑party transport work.
  • Maintain, file, and update all transport‑related paperwork accurately.
  • Plan and update TIMS for customer delivery schedules.
  • Arrange the collection of consumables as required.
  • Communicate with dispatch to organise collections and deliveries.Ensure drivers receive the correct paperwork and are allocated the appropriate vehicle.
  • Keep driver boxes fully up to date with necessary information.
  • Liaise with vehicle technicians regarding maintenance and vehicle readiness.
  • Work with agencies to confirm driver hours and verify timesheets.
  • Attend departmental meetings when required.
  • Complete the daily KPI sheet accurately and on time.
