Transport Coordinator – Severnside Depot (Stone House Depot)

MMID operates extensive logistics and manufacturing networks, delivering over 2.6 billion litres of fresh milk annually to more than 5,500 locations across Britain.

Job Overview

Full‑time, permanent position at the Severnside (Stroud, Gloucester) depot. Shift: 4 on, 4 off – 6 pm to 6 am (night). Salary: £40,032.45 per annum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily driver briefings and debriefings, implementing performance improvements via PMS.
  • Champion MMID safety culture using STAR cards, safety sweeps, and support accident/incident investigations.
  • Maintain and update the site run folder, ensuring clear communication of changes.
  • Manage breakdown and recovery procedures for all MMID vehicles.
  • Oversee site assets including GKNs, trolleys, and handheld devices.
  • Drive operational excellence by identifying and implementing improvement initiatives.
  • Enforce work instructions and SOPs.
  • Monitor service levels and report shorts/lates.
  • Ensure effective resource allocation, legal compliance, and timely communication of changes.
  • Manage the site fuel master key and track fuel usage.
  • Coordinate vehicle servicing with the garage team.
  • Oversee Daily Tacho Master system for driver compliance with legal/regulatory standards.
  • Conduct trailer checks, temperature monitoring, and audits.
  • Manage cross‑dock operations efficiently.
  • Maintain AS400 system housekeeping.
  • Promote and embody MMID values and behaviours.
  • Support and manage third‑party logistics (3PL) relationships.
