Transport Administrator

Menzies Distribution Solutions Ltd is seeking a Transport Administrator to join our team based in Clitheroe. The ideal candidate will have experience in transport‑related administration and customer service within a fast‑paced distribution environment, flexibility, and an accounting administration background is an advantage.

Base Pay Range
  • Pattern: Monday to Friday
  • Monthly Pay
  • Parking On‑site
Key Duties and Accountabilities
  • Engage all external and internal customers by communicating in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive impression at all times.
  • Answer and respond to all incoming calls and emails promptly and politely.
  • Process all internal and external customer queries or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Liaise with the management team to ensure the smooth operation of the transport department.
  • Monitor and chase documentation supporting the transport operation.
  • Produce statistics as required.
  • Undertake administrative and filing duties to meet the needs of the Transport Department.
  • Handle customer orders, ensuring accuracy, delivery timelines, instruction and communication to all depot staff.
  • Deal with customer and supplier enquiries and complaints from investigation to closure.
  • Ensure that customer requirements are administered in a timely, controlled and recorded manner.
  • Ensure that all work carried out is accounted for and that processes for accurate charging and an auditable trail are in place and followed.

  • Previous administration experience.
  • Good numeric skills, including accuracy.
