Qualifications

  • Experience in trailers, HGVs, plant, or similar industries is ideal.
  • Proven ability to read technical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate trailer chassis, frames, and components.
  • MIG weld steel to high standards.
  • Read and work from engineering drawings.
  • Cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
  • Ensure work meets quality and safety standards.
  • Assembly and fitting of trailer components.
  • Install hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Fault find and rectify during build stages.
  • Perform final build checks and quality inspections.

Skills

Proven experience as a fabricator and/or fitter
Ability to read technical drawings
Strong attention to detail
Proactive, team-focused attitude
Commitment to health & safety

Education

Welding qualifications (MIG/TIG)
Forklift or overhead crane certification
