Join our dynamic team as a Testing Lead and play a pivotal role in the successful implementation of our new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system. As a key member of the New EPR Programme, you will lead the Testing Team, providing strategic oversight and technical expertise to ensure the system is safe, usable, and operationally fit for purpose.
In this role, you will work closely with the Systems Support Manager, Programme Team, and operational staff to develop and execute a comprehensive Testing Strategy. You will coordinate all testing activities including system, integration, user acceptance, and deployment testing, ensuring alignment with programme milestones and clinical requirements.
Your responsibilities will include managing a multidisciplinary Testing Team, defining and enforcing testing standards, analysing test results, resolving defects, and producing consolidated test reports. You will also liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to validate data migration, support usability testing, and provide post-Go-Live support.
We are looking for a candidate with a degree-level qualification or equivalent knowledge in Health Informatics, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, along with proven relevant experience in software testing and team leadership. You should have excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings, resolve issues, and work collaboratively across teams.
As a Testing Lead, you will coordinate and lead a team of Clinical and Technical Testers, providing strategic and operational leadership for all testing activities within the EPR Programme. Your role will involve creating and executing the Testing Strategy, managing test environments, and ensuring all testing phases are completed to a high standard.
You will support the implementation of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) and other dependent technologies, ensuring they are clinically and operationally fit for purpose. Your responsibilities will include managing testing timelines, collaborating with suppliers, analysing reconciliation and rejection reports, and ensuring defects are resolved efficiently.
Additionally, you will define deployment testing criteria, prepare test data and scripts, and oversee formal test execution and re-testing. You will supervise others and participate in their education and development, ensuring the team meets all set deadlines in collaboration with the Programme Manager and Managers.
Your duties will also involve maintaining clear communication with stakeholders, producing accurate documentation, and supporting post-Go-Live activities. You will work autonomously to plan and organise your workload, participate in meetings to discuss workflows and concerns, and contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture.
