Due to the sensitive nature of this role, you will be required to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance ( https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/united-kingdom-security-vetting-clearance-levels/national-security-vetting-clearance-levels). An allowance of £5k per annum may be payable monthly while you hold this DV and continue to work in a role that requires that level of security clearance. The terms of this allowance will be made available if you are successful in being recruited into this role.

  • To manage and maintain a large complex highly secure Managed Service with direct accountability to senior Military Officers and Civil Servants.

This job role is based near Southwest M4 Corridor, within a 30 minute commutable distance from Swindon. On client site (5 days office based).

One week out of two call out obligations.

Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. DV Security Clearance is required. Must have lived in UK for 10+ years to obtain clearance.

What we’d like to see on your CV
  • Experience of implementing and administrating highly secure managed networks - DESIRABLE
  • Strong IP Skills (such as: Juniper and CISCO Routing Systems) - MANDATORY
  • Knowledge and experience of Dense wavelength-division multiplexing, Synchronous Digital Hierarchy, Legacy Networks technology (PDH/Serial Communications) sufficient to create/edit and explain to non‑experts system topologies - MANDATORY
  • Knowledge and experience of networking vendor technologies, including legacy technologies PDH, Serial communications solutions, and products (such as: Nokia, Alcatel‑Lucent) - MANDATORY
