The Opportunity

The Business Intelligence Analyst will develop, enhance, and support operational and BI reporting across Samworth Group businesses, using the full Microsoft BI stack to deliver integrated, accurate insights. The role blends technical development with stakeholder collaboration to ensure data is reliable, accessible, and aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build reports, dashboards, and BI solutions using SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and Power BI.
  • Enhance and optimise existing reporting, applying best practice and technical improvements.
  • Collaborate with Technical and Business Analysts to understand user needs and develop aligned solutions.
  • Integrate data from multiple systems to create blended, accurate BI outputs and maintain data quality.
  • Communicate progress effectively and support the wider BI team in delivering consistent reporting across the Group.

  • Microsoft qualified or equivalent experience
  • Strong experience with the Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI) and SQL/relational databases.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing, dimensional modelling (Kimball), and analytics/OLAP cube development.
  • High analytical capability with strong numerical, logical, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proactive and self‑motivated approach, comfortable working independently or across multiple concurrent projects.
  • The ability to clearly articulate a story, using a logical, meaningful data flow.
  • Current driving license and own transport is essential
