A social care organization located in the United Kingdom is seeking a full-time manager to oversee a team delivering front line social work services. Candidates should have a degree or diploma in Social Work, strong leadership skills, and experience working with young people in a residential setting. This role requires effective communication and the ability to manage risks in line with best practices. Registration with the PVG Scheme is necessary. Based at Craigie Cottage, you will work full time, 37 hours per week.

You will have a Degree in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, CQSW or CSS or a Degree in Community Education. SVQ4 in Social Care with Registered Manager's Award or ability to undertake Registered Manager's Award.
You will provide professional leadership as first line manager with day to day operational management responsibility for a team or teams of staff delivering front line social work services, whilst ensuring high standards of practice parameters and service provision are maintained.
You will have experience of working with young people in a residential setting and experience of supervising staff. Good communication both verbal and written, understanding of issues affecting young people who are looked after. The ability to make risk assessments and the ability to work with people that is consistent with best practice in social care. You will have the ability to do shift working as required and the ability to undertake on call arrangements when required. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
