We are a school for children aged from 4 to 11 years of age located in the heart of Falmouth, a stone’s throw from the town centre and its world-famous harbour. Our town is a thriving hub for marine and maritime industries, and we hope that through our school mission of ‘learning through a voyage of discovery’, coupled with our engaging curriculum and nurturing ethos, we will inspire the next generation of marine biologists, yacht builders, sailors, and conservationists. But most importantly, we want our pupils to flourish in whatever path they choose for their future, and we are committed to maximising opportunities for all. Our curriculum is built with success in mind, with a core focus on literacy and numeracy as well as a broader range of subjects and extra-curricular activities.
We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our skilled TA team to start as soon as possible. Experience of working in a primary school classroom is desirable and the ideal candidate for this role will have good communication skills and a real enthusiasm and enjoyment of working with children to support them to be their very best. Experience of working with children with SEND would be an advantage.
This is a fixed term variable hours contract linked to SEND funding, with initial hours of 27.5 hours per week, term time only.
