A local educational institution is looking for a full-time Teaching and Learning Assistant to support teaching and learning in an inclusive classroom environment. The role requires a commitment to professional development and strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills. Certification from the Department of Education is necessary. This position offers a chance to contribute positively to student learning experiences.
Full time TERM Teaching and Learning Assistant (TLA) at St. Peter's Elementary, Mount Pearl. Duties commence immediately until June 26, 2026.
Location: St. Peters Primary – 108 Ashford Drive – Mount Pearl – A1N 3L6. Competition end date: December 01, 2025 8:00 AM.
Reporting to the Principal or designate, the TLA will work with the classroom teacher in supporting the teaching and learning in an inclusive environment in the areas of planning, instruction, social emotional learning, assessment, evaluation and collection of student data.
As a Teaching and Learning Assistant, your work will focus on your application of the 7 Determinants of the School Development Model which are: Wellness and Positive Relationships; Optimal Learning Environments; Instructional Practice; Assessment Practices; Collective Efficacy; Evidence-based Decision Making, and Teachers as Learners.

Annual Teacher Salary Scale contained within the NLTA Provincial Collective Agreement and benefits contained within the agreement.
