Job description
Teacher of Science - Ysgol Greenhill School

Salary: Pay Scale Within: £32,433 - £49,944

Ysgol Greenhill School require a Fixed Term Science Teacher, from January 2026. This is a fixed term position for 1 year.

Ysgol Greenhill School is an 11 to 19 comprehensive school that serves the historic walled town of Tenby and surrounding areas. Based in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the school offers a caring, inclusive and welcoming environment with strong values and ethos.

We are seeking to appoint another forward-thinking and innovative teacher to join the Science AoLE from January 2026. This is a full-time fixed term position for 1 year in the first instance with a view to make permanent for the right candidate.

The Science AoLE is a successful team providing excellent opportunities for pupils of all ages, with many pupils choosing to study science subjects at A-level. We have reduced staff workload by encouraging collaboration and shared resources across year groups.

The successful candidate will be:

  • A qualified science teacher (this role is suitable for NQTs).
  • Passionate about their subject and able to inspire pupils.
  • Committed to ensuring all children receive the best possible provision to achieve their potential.
  • A reflective practitioner keen to develop their practice.
  • A supportive colleague who will work as part of a team to deliver excellent lessons.

Whilst the role may provide the opportunity to teach at A-level, this is not a requirement. We welcome applications from staff specialising in Biology, Chemistry or Physics.

To find out more about the role, or to arrange a visit to the AoLE, please contact the school reception.
