About the Role

Required for a September 2026 start, a high quality Teacher of Science to join a successful and experienced team within this high achieving school. This high attaining department is looking for either experienced or newly qualified teachers with a passion for Science and a commitment to the success of all pupils. The ability to teach across Key Stage 3 and 4 is essential.

Science Team
  • Ten teachers supported by Science Technicians.
  • Inclusive group encouraging more students to study science beyond school and college.
  • Extra‑curricular: STEM clubs, robotics groups, advanced science programmes, trips to the National Science Museum, Olympiad competitions.
Curriculum
  • Years 7‑8: Collins Scheme of Work – biology, chemistry, physics modules, roughly 8 lessons each, assessed at the end of each module.
  • Years 9‑11: biology, chemistry, physics GCSEs – modular approach continues; modules taught in rotation and assessed summatively for attainment.
