Sheffield United Community Foundation is seeking to recruit a personable and enthusiastic Sustainability Officer to lead on all environmental initiatives and grow the profile of sustainability at the Foundation.
The main responsibility will be to run and deliver our PL/PFA-funded programme, Nature Based Blades: a 12-week environmental education programme delivered to KS3 students in 3 secondary schools across Sheffield. You will be responsible for delivering 6 weeks’ of environmental theory, including supporting participants to achieve a Level 2 Environment Leaders Qualification, leading them to carrying out an environmental action project in their school/community.
When not delivering in schools, you will be responsible for managing all administrative tasks alongside the Employability Manager related to the programme, including acquiring equipment, monitoring and reporting. You will be responsible for all other environmental initiatives, including embedding sustainable practices across the foundation and growing this area of the business.
You will be working in a professional football club charity environment, joining our driven team of passionate employees.
