Qualifications

• Must obtain certification through a nationally accredited credentialing organization within 12 months of graduation.
• Must provide proof of at least one year of employment as a surgical technologist in a healthcare facility between 2010-2014.
• New graduates must provide official transcript or verification within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and check instruments for surgical procedures.
• Set up and maintain a sterile field during operations.
• Assist with patient draping and surgical team attire.
• Pass instruments to the surgeon during procedures.
• Perform accurate counts of sponges and sharps.
