Job summary

A dedicated support organization in Birmingham is seeking a Female Support Worker to assist individuals with Acquired Brain Injuries, Autism, and Learning Disabilities. ROLE: Female Support Worker

LOCATION: Birmingham, Moseley, B13

SALARY: £12.60 – £13.30* per hour

SHIFTS: 8:30am – 9:00pm

HOURS: 35 hours per week

Please note we require a Female Support Worker over the age of 18 due to a genuine occupational requirement for the people we are supporting making this position exempt from the gender discrimination rule

About Evergreen

At Evergreen, we support individuals with Acquired Brain Injuries, Autism, and Learning Disabilities. Our aim is to encourage independence and help people to engage with the community and participate in everyday activities.

We currently support five individuals at this service. The people we support are largely independent and mainly require prompting, encouragement, and guidance to achieve their daily goals.

Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day support and routine of the people we support.
  • Prompting independence whilst helping them live a fulfilling life.
  • Supporting & encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and helping with health care needs, including accompanying the people we support to routine appointments or administering medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills & shopping.
  • Assisting with domestic tasks including cleaning & cooking.
  • Providing guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
  • Encourage and motivate individuals to participate in community and everyday activities.
  • Promote independence while offering reassurance and support.
  • Work as part of a dedicated and compassionate team.
  • We will provide full training and ongoing support to ensure you are equipped to succeed in your role.
