Overview

Mencap is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as a permanent Support Worker in Cirencester.

As a Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will work with a diverse group of people, supporting daily activities and providing emotional support to help them live as independently as possible.

This role is permanent and offers a full-time option.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily activities and provide emotional support to individuals with learning disabilities.
  • Build meaningful relationships through excellent communication and a positive, empathetic approach.
  • Work flexibly across shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Support individuals with planning and participation in activities to promote wellbeing and independence.
Requirements
  • A genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
Contract details
  • Contract type: Permanent
  • Hours: Full-Time option available (37.5 hours)
  • Shift information: All services are 24-hour care. Rotas prepared at least 4 weeks in advance.
  • Sleep-in option available with an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70 per shift.
  • DBS check and suitable references required.

Salary: £24,570 per annum, pro-rata, plus benefits. Please note the salary may be subject to sponsorship considerations for UKVI visa requirements.
