We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for a Waking Night Support Worker.

Bay House in Weymouth is an OFSTED registered service that provides specialist residential short breaks for children with moderate to severe learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, and associated behavioural challenges, physical disabilities, and sensory impairment.

There are currently 22 children who enjoy the support of short breaks, with ages ranging from 6 years old to 17 years old.

  • Waking Nights. Mon to Fri, shifts times are 9 pm to 7am and at weekends and school holidays 9 pm to 8 am.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Our young people have a mix of interests and different levels of independence; you will be supporting them with daily tasks to increase their confidence levels and everyday skills.
  • You will support the children to have fun and engage in learning and will be willing to take part in their chosen activities.
  • You will encourage and support the children with us to settle overnight and ensure they feel safe and secure.
  • You will be cooking, cleaning, and supporting with everyday tasks, depending on the child’s ability.
  • Waking Nights. Mon to Fri, shifts times are 9 pm to 7am and at weekends and school holidays 9 pm to 8 am. Will involve weekend and bank holiday working.
  • You will be providing personal care.
Who you are:
