A leading social support organization in Clydebank is seeking a Support Practitioner to join their team on a part-time basis. This role involves supporting three ladies with learning disabilities in their home, engaging them in activities, and assisting with daily living tasks. No prior care experience is necessary as training will be provided, along with funding for relevant qualifications. Our team and the individuals you'll support
You'll become part of a warm, friendly team supporting three ladies who have learning disabilities within their own home. The ladies all enjoy an active lifestyle, so you'll find yourself getting involved in dance classes, trips to the theatre and going out in their cars for day trips. The ladies also like to play board games, do arts & crafts, bake, watch movies and listen to music.
As a Support Practitioner, your main aim will be to support the ladies with their day to day living, which includes household chores, personal care, attending appointments, finances and medication.
About you
You don''t need experience in care to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We''ll pay you for your training and we''ll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) and yearly SSSC registration fees too.
The ladies we support have their own mobility cars, so for this particular role we will need you to hold a full UK, manual driving licence with a minimum of one years'' experience on the roads.

Our team are dedicated to providing the best support possible 24/7. Shifts are a mix of early/day shift, back shift, waking nights and sleepovers. Weekends and public holidays will also form part of your rota on a rotational basis.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and have a commitment to working towards a relevant SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
