Job summary

A supportive community organization in Inverclyde is seeking a Support Practitioner to provide individualized support to adults with various needs. Our Turning Point Scotland Services in Inverclyde are looking for people like you to help provide individualised support to adults with a wide range of needs, either on an individual 1:1 basis or alongside others and as part of a team.

Turning Point Scotland has provided services in Inverclyde since 2002 and has grown to work within the local area with multiple services ranging from Port Glasgow to Skelmorlie.

We currently provide Supported Living, Housing Support and Social Opportunities to a large number of people who have learning and physical disabilities and those on the Autistic spectrum.

The support we provide is tailored to suit the needs of each individual. We provide support to people in all aspects of their daily living with supports ranging from a few hours per week to 24/7 care.

Support is always person centred, we do this by involving people who know the person well, this includes family and friends, other Health and Social Work professionals, Advocacy services and our own staff members. We help ensure individual goals, aspirations and needs are met.

Turning Point Scotland Inverclyde services are operational throughout the full year with shifts that may include days, nights, sleepovers, waking nights, weekends and public holidays including Christmas Day, New Years, Easter etc.

As a Support Practitioner, you will work with individuals who have a wide range of support needs, providing them with practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives e.g. keeping safe, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, emotional health and wellbeing.
