A community support organization in Beith is seeking caring and reliable individuals for a part-time role assisting a young man with autism in his daily life. Are you looking for a new part-time job for 2026 where you have the chance to shine? Look no further as we have a great opportunity for you! Our amazing #TeamThorntree in Beith are on the lookout for caring, reliable individuals to join their team on a permanent part time (16 or 20 hours per week) basis.
You’ll join a small, friendly and experienced team who provide care and support to a young man who has Autism and lives in his own home.
Your main focus will be to assist the young man with all aspects of his daily living, including shopping, finances, cooking, housework and personal care. As this young man also enjoys getting out and about in his own car, playing golf, visiting the arcade, long walks to name a few, we will also need you to be enthusiastic and supportive with his hobbies and interests too.
You don't need experience to join our team, we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills that you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees!
As this young gentleman does have his own mobility car, we will need you to hold a full UK drivers license and have a minimum of one year’s experience on the roads.
We are dedicated to providing the best care and support possible and shift patterns for this opportunity are currently 1000-1400 hours the next day (includes a sleepover) Monday-Friday and 1000-1000 hours the next day (includes a sleepover) on a Saturday and Sunday. Weekends and public holidays would be worked on a rotational basis.
