Wage range: $58.31 –$72.88 /hr ($106,124.20 -$ $132,641.60/Annually)

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Senior Manager of Transportation and Waste Management Services, plans, organizes, directs and coordinates the implementation of traffic management and road safety initiatives for the County’s multi-modal transportation network in accordance with provincial regulations, engineering best practices and Oxford County policy.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Professional Engineer (P. Eng) or Certified Engineering Technician/Technologist (OACETT)
  • Demonstrated initiative and practical judgment acquired through education, training and five years of related practical experience, with preferably at least two in a related supervisory role.
  • Sound knowledge of construction techniques, practices and standards, sound knowledge of applicable acts, legislation and regulations, traffic management and transportation planning.
  • Certification as Professional Traffic Operations Engineer and/or Road Safety Professional is an asset
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; decisive; impartial, tactful and diplomatic.
  • Good computer skills with Microsoft Office software and web-based applications.
  • Knowledge and training in all aspects of safety for workers and the public.
