Job description

Sapphire Utility Solutions are a seeking a Stores and Yard Manager to be based in Leyland to oversee our North West and Yorkshire Operations.

You may need to work outside in the yard area as well as inside the warehouse, and you may be asked to travel to different sites as per business needs therefore a driving licence is essential.

For the right candidate, there will be an opportunity to gain fork truck and telehandler licence if not already held.

Location: Leyland based (travel to other sites within the North West and Yorkshire as per business needs)

Hours of work: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary: up to £50,000 per annum plus vehicle or car allowance

Responsibilities to include – but not limited to:
  • Health and Safety Compliance.
  • Inventory management.
  • Stock control.
  • Security management.
  • Competent in using hand held device to receive requests and preparing job packs for collection by Teams.
  • Accepting deliveries and reporting any supplier discrepancies.
  • Hands on – manually handling materials and ensuring they are stored correctly.
  • Regular stock counts of materials.
  • Create requests for orders to be raised for stock replenishment.
  • Excellent housekeeping, whilst adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with Company procedures.
Experience and qualifications required for the role:
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Team player
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to work to deadlines, and be reactive to the business needs
