The role involves welcoming guests, providing information and guidance, and maintaining a seamless experience throughout the Cathedral's galleries. Ideal candidates will possess excellent customer service skills and a passion for history. This is an operational role that includes varied responsibilities and a commitment to safeguarding welfare.
We are looking to recruit a number of Visitor Experience Assistants - busy ‘front of house’ positions, where you will be welcoming visitors from across the world to the Cathedral and making their visit one to remember, by ensuring a seamless experience from the initial welcome at the Cathedral’s entrances, to ticket selling and providing information and guidance throughout their visit, whether in the Crypt or the indoor and outdoor galleries.
This is a busy and varied operational role, where you will be working throughout the Cathedral, including the indoor and outdoor galleries, to welcome visitors from across the world to the Cathedral, and make their visit one to remember.
If you have excellent customer service skills, a passion for history and a desire to be part of this vibrant building, we’d love to hear from you.
The successful applicant will also be expected to share in St Paul’s Cathedral’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
In return you’ll find we are a welcoming place to work, and we each take responsibility for our part in the Cathedral’s work, looking after St Paul’s for the next generation.

Please note that the position involves working in an environment where exposure to elevated noise levels within the Cathedral may occur.
We are committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workforce that represents our context and wider community. We are aware that those of United Kingdom Minority Ethnic / Global Majority Heritage, women, and disabled people are currently under-represented in our workforce, and we particularly encourage applications from those with the relevant skills and experience that will increase our representation.
