Overview

Location: Cardiff. Salary: £16.25 per hour weekday shifts, £17.25 per hour Saturdays, £18 per hour Sundays. Job Type: Zero-hour contract. Shifts: 8am-8pm, 7 days per week. Full time/part time hours available. Waking and sleeping night shifts available, 8pm-8am, 7 days per week.

Role Overview

We are offering an opportunity for experienced and dedicated Spinal Injury Support Workers to join our new client in Cardiff, working on a 2:1 ratio. To support their independence and lifestyle, we’re seeking support workers who are confident, empathetic, and capable of building a strong, trusting relationship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
  • Respiratory Management (cough assist/suctioning)
  • Autonomic Dysreflexia Management
  • Preparing meals and supporting with nutrition
  • Administering medication (training provided)
  • Providing emotional support and companionship
  • Supporting with mobility and physical activities
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience within a similar role, supporting clients with Spinal Injury, catheter care and bowel management
  • A caring and compassionate nature
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A valid UK driving licence essential to drive the WAV during shifts essential.
