Working as part of a fantastic team reporting to a Senior Specification Technologist, this role involves writing and maintaining finished product specifications for products supplied and produced by Premier Foods. Responsibilities include collation, validation, and accurate input of data into Retailer and Premier Foods specification databases.

You will generate pack copy data and review artwork to ensure accuracy, ensuring timely data provision that meets the highest standards. Ongoing maintenance of specifications and data accuracy is also required.

What we need from you...?

• Junior – qualifications as required but little or no food industry/spec writing experience.
• Experienced Technologist – current experience within the Food Industry and/or 2+ years of specification writing experience.
• Food or Science-based Degree/qualification
• IT Competent
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• Ability to manage multiple fast-paced tasks/projects and deliver results against tight deadlines
• High attention to detail for accurate data transfer
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Organisational and time management skills
• Alignment with company Leadership Values

What you'll be doing...?

• Present all necessary information to generate finished product specifications and labels compliant with legislation
• Create and verify specifications for various product types, ensuring data accuracy
• Process, check, and approve specifications
• Incorporate legislative information and ensure compliance with policies
• Develop knowledge of retailer/foodservice requirements to maintain customer specifications
• Liaise with Suppliers, Technical, Procurement, Regulatory, R&D, Marketing, and Project Managers for product compliance and data accuracy
• Generate pack copy data and review artwork for compliance and accuracy
• Respond to enquiries regarding allergens, ingredients, and nutritional information
