We are looking for a Sous Chef to join a passionate and talented kitchen team at the River Restaurant by Gordon Ramsay at The Savoy Hotel in London. The River Restaurant is a classic, stylish all-day dining restaurant with shellfish and seafood focus, featuring an à la carte menu and views of the River Thames.

Overview

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef and Executive Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations while supervising and developing the brigade
  • Ensure the highest standards of food preparation and delivery
  • Facilitate effective communication across all sections of the kitchen
The successful candidate will
  • Be passionate about delivering high quality, seasonal food
  • Show motivation and leadership to represent the Gordon Ramsay Brand and its standards
  • Have previous experience as a Sous Chef within a premium high-volume, quality restaurant, preferably in fine dining
  • Have comprehensive culinary knowledge; experience in a Grill concept is desirable
  • Understand classic cooking methods and seasonality, with ability to innovate
  • Have keen attention to detail to maintain high standards of food quality
  • Lead the team confidently alongside the Executive Chef
  • Have substantial experience in a similar role within a fine dining environment
  • Be able to lead, manage, motivate and develop a team and enhance skills
