Qualifications

  • Proven experience in software development, ideally within a web or digital product environment.
  • Strong proficiency in C# and experience using Entity Framework.
  • Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (ideally Sitefinity) and integration into .NET web applications.
  • Experience deploying to or maintaining applications on cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with internal development team and departments to enhance web applications.
  • Integrate and customise Content Management Systems to manage website content.
  • Ensure seamless integration between server-side logic and user-facing interfaces.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects efficiently.

You’ll be joining our IT department within our office called Support Centre, which is in Greater Manchester (M26 1GG).

  • The role is a FTC for 12 months initially

  • Full time hours

  • Hybrid working arrangements - 1 day a week onsite (M26 1GG)

  • Joining our supportive and growing data team

  • You will benefit from free onsite parking and Kearsley train station is just a short walk away

Your future, your role

As a Software Developer, you’ll be:

  • Working closely with the internal development team and departments across the organisation to design, implement, and enhance web-based applications predominantly the mydentist corporate website.

  • Integrate and customise Content Management Systems (CMS) to manage and deliver website content effectively

  • Work closely with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration between server-side logic and user-facing interfaces

  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects efficiently, performing root-cause analysis where needed

  • Contribute innovative ideas to improve application design, tooling, and performance

You will need:

  • Proven experience in software development, ideally within a web or digital product environment

  • Strong proficiency in C# and experience using Entity Framework

  • Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs

  • Familiarity with CMS platforms (ideally Sitefinity) and integration into .NET web applications

  • Experience deploying to or maintaining applications on cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
