Job summary

A proactive Local Authority in the South West of the UK is seeking a qualified Child Protection Social Worker. The role offers a hybrid working model with only two days required in the office, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of Child in Need and Protection cases, working within a supportive team that values professional growth and provides stability through long-term contracts. Are you an experienced Child Protection Social Worker seeking your next rewarding opportunity?

This position offers a balanced approach to hybrid working — with only two days per week in the office and the rest from home. You’ll be part of a committed safeguarding team focused on delivering high-quality outcomes for children and young people.

Your Role:
  • Undertake assessments and interventions to safeguard children at risk.
  • Manage a caseload of Child in Need, Child Protection, and court cases.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Contribute to effective care planning and permanency arrangements.
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive management structure that values reflection and professional growth.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive hourly rate: £38 – £40 per hour.
