Job summary

A leading engineering firm based in Bridgwater is looking for a Project Manager specializing in Secondary Steel Structures. You'll oversee the planning and execution of construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. A degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Civil Engineering along with significant experience in steel construction is essential. This role requires strong leadership skills and effective stakeholder management to drive project success within budget and timeline constraints.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering steel structure construction works, including project or construction management roles.
• Strong technical knowledge of steel fabrication, erection, inspection, and construction methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed execution plans, construction schedules, and methodologies for secondary steel structure works.
• Plan and manage manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractor resources to meet project milestones.
• Manage all site secondary steel activities including fabrication, delivery, erection, alignment, and bolting.
• Enforce full compliance with project HSE policies and promote a strong safety culture.
• Control budgets related to the secondary steel scope, tracking productivity and cost performance.
