Qualifications

• Knowledge of shipbuilding processes is essential.
• Ability to interpret relevant drawings is necessary.
• Experience with modern outfitting methods is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage front-line managers and drive daily performance.
• Chair planning meetings with stakeholders.
• Adjust build plans to meet delivery targets.
• Oversee volumetrics throughout the build programme.
• Collaborate with subcontract managers to mitigate downtime.

Skills

Knowledge of shipbuilding processes

Ability to interpret shipbuilding, piping, and mechanical drawings

Familiarity with zone working and modern outfitting methods

Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project scheduling

Education

Time-served trade background

ONC/HNC preferred but not essential

Recognised safety training (e.g., IOSH, working at height, confined space)
