Job summary

A food manufacturing company in Northern Ireland seeks an experienced supervisor to oversee production processes and ensure compliance with food safety regulations. The role involves training new team members, resolving production issues, and maintaining product quality. Candidates should possess strong leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and a relevant Health and Safety qualification. Employees benefit from a comprehensive healthcare plan and pension. Normal working hours are Monday to Friday, 2 PM onwards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor production processes to ensure full compliance with food safety regulations and quality control standards;
  • Identify and resolve production issues promptly to maintain optimal efficiency and minimise downtime;
  • Train and mentor new team members Insta ensure they understand safety protocols, hygiene standards, and production techniquesលោក ;
  • Take ownership for achieving daily production targets, maintaining efficiency, and ensuring consistent product quality;
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement;
  • Work closely with Quality Control, Maintenance, and Despatch teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations across all departments.
The Person
  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a food manufacturing environment;
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team;
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and product quality;
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced production setting;
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, able to work closely with'entre other departments.;
Preference Will Be Given To Candidates With
  • Experience implementing lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices;
  • Relevant Health and Safety qualification (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent);
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment or process issues.
