Swift Temps Ltd – Bradford Team seeks a fully skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Worker for a permanent position.

Ideal candidate has expertise in sheet metal work, TIG welding, working with thin plate stainless steel, press brake experience, and can fabricate components based on technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as a skilled sheet metal worker specializing in stainless steel.
  • Read and interpret engineering/CAD drawings; collaborate with laser cutters and programmers to determine manufacturing methods.
  • Perform TIG welding (stainless steel and aluminum) and MIG welding (mild steel).
  • Drill and tap components using bench drills.
  • Operate press brakes for folding tasks.
  • Visit client sites to install fabricated structures when required.
  • Use manual fabrication tools including box folders and rollers.
  • Grind and polish components using handheld tools.
  • Inspect all finished products to ensure accuracy and quality against engineering drawings before dispatch.
  • Maintain and inspect machinery, reporting any faults promptly.
  • Adhere strictly to Health & Safety standards and ensure correct use of PPE.
Working Hours
  • Monday – Thursday: 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
  • Friday: 7:30 am – 1:30 pm
  • 39 hours per week
Pay & Benefits
  • £16.00 per hour (PAYE)
  • Accrued holiday pay on top of hourly rate
