As a **Service Engineer** based in **Haydock** you’ll be responsible for:* Servicing and calibrating equipment for our own hire fleet and customer owned equipment, including, where relevant carrying out services at customer premises and on-site.* Competently carrying out technical demonstrations on the company’s full range of hire products* Supplying regional support on the specialist range of equipment that is operated from the central support facility at the HQ in Chesterfield* Providing telephone technical support both internally and externally* Delivering first class customer back up including attending breakdowns, providing onsite technical support and training, carrying out site audits and providing feedback to customers and supervisors* Diagnosing faults and making repairs on equipment across our hire offering, from small tooling to Tracstar machines capable of welding 1200mm Poly pipe.This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between 7.30am – 4.30pm with a 4.00pm finish on Fridays! **And here’s what we’d like you to have:*** A proven mechanical engineering/mechanics background* Electronics, hydraulics and component fault finding background/experience* Level 2 or 3 in mechanical or electrical engineering or an engineering qualification* A full UK driving licensePlease be aware that we are extending the application period for this role until the new year.
