Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Fire Engineer

Service Engineer will be responsible for undertaking planned service, PPM (Pre‑Planned Maintenance), remedial, carry out general service works on Electrical/HVAC systems including ventilation, extract fans, AOV control panels/systems, fire and smoke dampers, smoke ventilation products.

Our clients are actively seeking a Service Engineer to join their growing team. We are seeking candidates that live in the East London area. The Service Engineer will attend customer sites throughout the UK and conduct the following tasks although not limited to: Planned Preventative Maintenance, Emergency callouts, Upgrades/repairs, Installation and Commissioning works.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Carrying out routine/planned scheduled maintenance work
  • Responding to breakdown and equipment faults
  • Diagnosing breakdown problems and carry out first time fix
  • Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly prior to signing off
  • Liaising with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues
  • Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
  • Ensuring van stock is controlled
  • Responding to customer enquiries in a professional manner
  • Representing the company as an ambassador at all times
  • Providing accurate information on activities undertaken
Required skills & experience
  • Knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical skills
  • Good customer service & communication skills
  • Previous service experience would be ideal
  • Happy to travel – UK Driving Licence

Customer Service Engineer – Public Safety

As a Customer Service Engineer, your role is all about providing exceptional second line technical support to a number of their UK based customers. You are responsible for the technical implementation and maintenance of their Control Room Solutions and will use a broad range of systems and technologies across multiple domains and technologies to do this. You will report to the Lead Customer Service Engineer and work with both the Service Engineering team in the UK and the wider Service Engineering teams in Vienna and Turin.

Your Main Responsibilities
  • Communicating with & responding to customers about technical service incidents, events and requests.
  • Analysing and diagnosing errors and faults
  • Proactively driving incidents through to resolution
  • Collaborating with the engineering teams, in the UK, Vienna and wider global organisation to manage new services into live, decommission service and defect management
  • Technically delivering change requests into live services
  • Collaborating with Product Management team on continuous product improvement based on customer feedback
  • Site acceptance testing
Your Experience
  • Knowledge of public safety technologies
  • First and/or second line support in an enterprise / Cloud based environment
  • Incident management and problem resolution experience
  • Microsoft operating platforms, including Microsoft cloud-based services (Azure)
  • Microsoft SQL Server deployment and management ideally
  • WAN/LAN hardware, configuration and management
  • Microsoft MTA or MCSA, Juniper, Cisco & Dell qualified ideally
  • Azure fundamentals (AZ900) Security and compliance (SC900) qualified ideally
  • Technologies: MS Server 2019/22, Redhat Linux, AD and Group Policy Management, MS Certificate and KPI, MS SQL, Gigaspace, Java, Network config and Management, WSUS
  • Hardware: Cisco LAN/WAN switches, Dell /Fujitsu/HP Server and user devices, Dell/Fujitsu/HP Server and SAN
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes in a support environment
  • Telecommunications systems experience (telephony/ Radio integration)
Field Service Engineer – Medical Device

We are looking for several highly experienced Field Service Engineer with experience with high voltage medical equipment or automated manufacturing equipment. You will provide service, maintenance and installation services to a range of clients including hospitals and clinics.

Responsibilities
  • Perform servicing, maintenance, installation and upgrading for medical equipment.
  • Maintenance of test equipment and tools.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and contractual terms/ SLA are met.
  • Effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
  • Escalate issues when needed.
  • Adhere to relevant codes of conduct, safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that all administrative tasks are completed on time and to an acceptable standard.
  • Attend product training sessions.
  • Ensure the timely processing of parts.
Requirements
  • HNC/HND in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
  • Field service experience with high voltage medical or manufacturing equipment.
  • Excellent IT skills (MS Office and an understanding of networks).

Location: Surrey/London – Home-Based with travel to customer sites. Salary: £27 - £29,000 per annum (depending on experience). Employment Type: Full‑Time.

  • Manage and progress tickets, ensuring clear and consistent communication with clients.

  • Receive and set up new hardware to customer specifications.
