A leading health and wellbeing provider in the UK seeks a Service Development Manager to drive service initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders in a remote role. Candidates should have a strong background in service development and healthcare, with exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities. The position supports the growth of the division through continuous improvement and innovation.

As Service Development Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of service development initiatives within the comprehensive mental health services that we have to offer. Working under the strategic direction set by senior leadership, you will act as a subject matter expert, ensuring all services are clearly defined, documented, and aligned with client and market needs.
You will play a key role in supporting the growth of your assigned division by collaborating with stakeholders, implementing changes, and managing projects related to service development. This role requires a detail‑oriented individual with strong organisational and problem‑solving skills, capable of driving continuous improvement.
Within this role you will define and document services, ensuring clarity for clients and internal stakeholders. You will deliver training or updates to colleagues to ensure consistent understanding of service offerings and ensure structured offerings integrate clinical quality, operational efficiency, and measurable workforce outcomes.
You will collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to implement service development initiatives in response to client or market requirements and ensure products are evidence‑based, compliant, and scalable. You will actively contribute to new service solutions, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s commercial strategy. Assess and monitor the commercial viability of services and provide cost‑benefit analyses and input into pricing strategies to inform decision‑making by senior leaders.
Supporting commercial teams in upselling services or preparing bids and proposals, you will attend client meetings as a subject‑matter expert, providing insights into service offerings. You will lead on service development projects, ensuring clear scope, timelines, and accountability, and provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress and outcomes.
You will have proven experience in service development and design, preferably within a healthcare setting, and a strong commercial and financial acumen in B2B healthcare. You will have the ability to integrate clinical, operational, and regulatory considerations into structured offerings. You must have excellent organisational and time‑management abilities, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and achieving objectives. You will have previous experience working in a mental‑health setting alongside assistant psychologists, workplace assessors, and psychological therapists.
You will possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. You should be proactive, have excellent problem‑solving skills, and maintain a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Home‑based with some travel
