Summary

We are seeking dedicated and flexible individuals to join our team as Service and Support Staff Substitutes within the District. This role is essential in maintaining a positive and productive environment for students and staff. Substitutes will provide support in various capacities, ensuring that daily operations run smoothly in the absence of regular staff members.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the daily operations of the school, including but not limited to cafeteria, instructional aide, and administrative support.
  • Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other activities to ensure safety and compliance with school policies.
  • Provide assistance to teachers and staff as needed, including preparing materials and maintaining classroom environments.
  • Support students with special needs, ensuring they receive appropriate assistance and accommodations.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to foster a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Follow district policies and procedures in all aspects of service and support.
  • Be available for both short-term and long-term substitute assignments as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or experience in education, clerical or child development is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and follow instructions accurately.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Previous experience in a school setting or related field is preferred but not required.
  • Must pass background checks and any required training or certification.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to work on short notice.
