A recruitment agency is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join a specialist design and engineering team in Manchester. This hybrid role involves producing high-quality water and wastewater treatment designs, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience in process design within the regulated water sector and a relevant degree. This position offers a salary of £55-65k or £450 per day on a contract basis.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ relevant process design experience within the regulated water industry.
• Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes and proven delivery experience.
• Confident IT and technical presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce safe, high-quality and compliant process design deliverables.
• Lead, mentor and support junior engineers and designers.
• Prepare design risk assessments, technical reports and specifications.
• Carry out mass balance, process sizing and hydraulic calculations.
