Senior Social Worker – Wokingham - Locality Team - £38 ph

About the Role:

Wokingham is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Social Worker to join our busy Adult Social Care locality team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner who can confidently manage complex caseloads while providing high-quality, person-centered practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and provide professional oversight to qualified social workers.
  • Complete Care Act assessments (S9 and S11) to a high standard, including work on complex S42 enquiries, safeguarding investigations and risk management plans.
  • Manage a demanding and varied caseload, balancing competing operational priorities effectively.
  • Contribute to court work and ensure accurate, timely documentation.
  • Use Mosaic confidently (or demonstrate the ability to learn new systems quickly).
Requirements:
  • A strong, assertive decision-maker able to work at pace in a fast-moving locality team.
  • An excellent communicator who works collaboratively and supports a positive team culture.
  • Highly skilled in risk assessment and risk management, with proven experience in safeguarding adults.
  • Someone who thrives in a busy, dynamic environment and can deliver consistently high-quality practice.
